originally from seattle, miss ashford made the move to new york in 2006. she tours often, enjoying all the luxury and comfort that a subaru station wagon has to offer her and her bandmates.

brittain can be found on the road with a rotating cast of characters including her best friend since jr. high, caitlin steitzer, and portland based drummer vincent covarrubias. when not running around the country, brittain and caitlin host the bcat + ctown variety show in bushwick, brooklyn.

her first full length album there, but for you, go i was recorded in her brooklyn bedroom and released on paris based waterhouse records in the spring of 2008. this album was self released in the united states in the summer of 2008.

her next album, tentatively titled kitten teeth, is being recorded before hitting sxsw down in west texas with the help of the good folks at the marfa recording company. this project is being funded by fund raising efforts via kickstarter where miss ashford successfully appealed to her fans to raise $5000 to send the record to press.
